I carry a blue light weight tarp so we can put it on one side of the awning to keep out sun or rain. We usually have the 2 trailer awnings together and the tarp on one side makes it cozy. The only problem with 2 awnings together in rain is the water fall that forms in the crack. Make sure both awnings are tilted to one side for water run off.

I use Mean Green on my awning- spray it on-wipe a little and then wash it off.
