Hi I am new to this list an have an 1983 McGregor 4 horse straight load trailer that has a large dressing area.  I hope to eventually make it a small LQ.  But am trying to find parts for doors.  Especially the rear loading door for the trailer.  Have googled the web but found nothing.  Want to change rear into a 3 horse slant to get extra rm for front, but the rear opens with two doors and there is a beam connecting the two in the middle.  Thanks

On most older steel trailers the trailer manufacturer built their own doors, dividers, etc. Those type of parts are probably no longer available. I would suggest you find a trailer repair shop or a welding shop to make the modifications you want done. To convert to a slant load is not too difficult although if your trailer is only 6' wide or less there will probably not be enough room to do this without very deep angles on the slant dividers. You may not have enough length in the trailer. The two rear doors could still work if the trailer is wide enough to load a horse on one side. If not you can have the center upright removed, reinforce the rear roof supports and use the existing doors. If you have further questions, you may call me at 1-877-439-1960. Good Luck....

Hey thanks for that information will probably give you a call when I am back in the states currently in Iraq.  Most of what I need to start to do with the trailer is hands on and is going to take a lot of time.  Will start when I am on vacation.
