Where is a good place to find lists of places to take horses in an emergency?  I know US Riders will try to find emergency stableing but I wonder if people can look at their list in advance -like when trying to evacuate.   I'm willing to share our property here in VA if anyone needs help too.   we can take in 2 or 3 horses, more in a pinch.

In Tx you can pull up the Horse Gazatte website and there is a section for emergency stabeling.  It may be in the printed issue as well but I've never looked.  Some of the places say that they have trailers and will help with emergency evacuations.

Just looked at the site and they now have other states listed.

I can offer 5 stalls in sw Madison County TN;  self service only....must share pasture with cows and  pay a portion of barn utility bill (about $20 per month)....if lq trailer on utility then that would be additional.....good well water and about 30+ acres of pasture.

There is an overnight stabling list by state at www.horseandmuletrails.com.
