Subject: Truck fuse question

Just picked up my "new" used truck today (matches my horse trailer nicely)....'06 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4, and while I was sitting in my driveway with the radio on, reading the manual and playing with everything to figure it out, I managed to blow the fuse for the power seats. I've figured out that the fuse is in the center fuse box under the dash, and best I can see, it's more of a connection box...black up under the dash on the left side of the steering column...but I can't figure out how to access it/get the cover off. Anybody able to give me some help? Thanks!

spotter... On my 2001, there's a access door on the end of the dash next to the drivers door. With the drivers door open, you'll see the access door, it just pops off, a fuse puller is attached to the back side of the door..... That is if the 06's are simular to the 01's. When all else fails, check your owners manual.

The 06's are the same way as your 01 Retento. Open the door and you will see the fuse panel cover on the end of the dash.

Thanks everybody....I finally got it. The fuse I needed wasn't in the side panel by the driver's door...and it turns out is wasn't in the under the dash box either....it was in the engine compartment fuse box.
