Selling your trailer on Horse Trailer World is simple. To get started, you’ll need to create a free and easy account. Once your account is set up, you can go directly to the secure Ad Form, fill in the required details, and submit your listing. Create your account here: Create Account.

Required information includes the trailer’s year, brand, price, and state. Please review your ad carefully before submitting to make sure all information is accurate and complete.

After your ad is submitted and payment is confirmed, it will be posted to the website. Ads are usually posted in the morning on each business day, but please allow additional time for mailed-in ads or materials to be processed.

You can edit your ad anytime using your login information.

To place an ad now, create your free account and complete the secure Ad Form.

We encourage you to update your ad whenever you need to make corrections, add new information, or change photos. Keeping your listing accurate and up to date can help you sell your trailer faster.

To edit your ad, log in to your free Horse Trailer World account and navigate to My Listings. From there, you can select the ad you want to update and make changes to the information or photos.

There is no charge to edit your ad. If you lower your asking price, your listing will be marked with a Price Reduced tag to help bring attention to the update.

For additional questions or help with your listing, please submit a support ticket.

If you listed your truck or trailer on Horse Trailer World and cannot find the ad using the search tool, try broadening your search.

Start with the most general search options first. For example, search by only the state or only the brand instead of filling in multiple fields at once. This can make it easier to locate your listing.

If you know your ad number, you can also use the Ad Number search box to pull up your listing directly.

A strong listing can make a big difference when selling your horse trailer online. Based on what we’ve seen, trailers with clear photos, detailed descriptions, and fair pricing tend to get the most interest.

Photos are especially important. Ads with pictures consistently perform better than ads without them, so we recommend adding high-quality photos as soon as possible. Show the outside, inside, stalls, tack area, tires, hitch, living quarters if included, and any important details or upgrades. Good lighting and clean, uncluttered photos can help buyers feel more confident about reaching out.

Your description should be honest, specific, and easy to read

Include key details such as the year, brand, size, number of horses, trailer type, condition, features, recent maintenance, and any known issues. Buyers are looking for everything from large living-quarter trailers to simple 2-horse bumper pulls, so the more clearly you describe your trailer, the easier it is for the right buyer to find it.

Great photos can make a big difference when selling your trailer. Each ad allows up to 30 photos, and we recommend adding several clear, well-lit images to help buyers understand the condition, layout, and features of your trailer.

For the best results, include:

  • A clear 3/4 exterior view of the trailer
  • Interior photos of the horse area
  • Rear or loading area photos
  • Tack room or dressing room photos, if included
  • At least four interior photos for living quarter trailers
  • Close-ups of important features, upgrades, tires, hitch, and any areas buyers may ask about

Try to take photos on a bright, sunny day for the best color and clarity. Clean out the trailer first, remove clutter, and take photos from slightly different angles so buyers can get a complete view. Honest, detailed photos help build trust and can lead to more serious inquiries.

Photos can be uploaded anytime by logging into your ad. If you are ready to post your ad but do not have photos yet, you can add them later.

If you have trouble uploading photos, you may email them as attachments or mail them by regular ground mail. We accept JPG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP files by email, though JPG files work best. All photos are converted to JPG format for posting, and mailed photos are scanned and posted online. If you mail physical photos and want them returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Your personal and payment information is protected when you submit the Ad Form. The form is delivered through a secure SSL connection, which encrypts the information you enter before it is transmitted.

This added security helps protect sensitive details such as your credit card information, contact information, and other personal data. SSL encryption is the same type of security commonly used for online payments, banking, and other secure transactions.

Because the form uses encryption, it may load or respond a little more slowly than a standard webpage. You can confirm that the page is secure by looking for the security icon in your browser. In most browsers, you can click or double-click the icon to view more information about the secure connection.

We understand that you may still have questions. Feel free to contact us at Support@horsetrailerworld.com.
