2014  Lakota

Description:  Very clean well cared for 2014 Lakota designed for the equine traveler who truly camps with their equine. Trailer is outfitted for solar and will be sold with solar charging system pictured. All systems work great, heat, AC, water heater, stovetop, shower with skylight, bathroom ventilation fan, and large refrigerator. Trailer has an awning for welcoming shade in a treeless camp spot! One of our favorite unique features has been the wraparound dinette in the slide out which has allowed us to seat our entire family around it, and it drops down to a bed to sleep two kids! There is a TV with a DVD player in the gooseneck bed area that can be viewed from bed or opened up and be viewed from the rest of the LQ which is handy. There is also a sound system with internal and external speakers that can play off of radio or CDs. It could be swapped out for a Bluetooth system, we just haven’t. The horse area is extremely clean and well maintained. Stall mats and flooring were thoroughly cleaned yearly with mats pulled and floors disinfected. First stall has a stud wall and the escape door also has camper door latches so it can be used as a second entrance/exit. We’ve always used it as a “mud room” entrance after muddy rides for dropping muddy boots and going straight into the shower as the pass through door to the LQ enters the bathroom! The horse area is fully insulated which has always kept the horses more comfortable on the hottest and coldest travel days. LED lighting inside the horse area makes great visibility for loading or checking horses in the dark, or working with your gear if you stage up in the back like we did. Brand new LED load lights were added just over a year ago to replace the original factory load lights and they’ve been a great upgrade. There are side lights as well where horses are tied. You can turn the horse compartment lights on from inside the bathroom, or, all horse compartment and external lights can be controlled with toggle switches at the rear of the trailer. It is nice having both options. There are managers and nice deep manger storage. All windows in horse area are drop downs including butt side. Another external feature I’ve liked about this trailer is it has an external water spigot at the front under the nose so when hooked up to city water especially you can fill buckets off of it. Trailer has one Hi-Tie system mounted on the driver side that will go with the trailer. This has been a wonderful trailer and we’re only selling as I’m no longer competing and have horses to justify keeping it just to camp in occasionally.
