Description: This aluminium horse trailer is extra tall and extra wide and was used to haul Thoroughbred race horses from Texas to Kentucky and back for the past 5-6 years. Mostly used in the spring then once or twice in the fall. It has a 8'x27' floor size w/9' short wall. The horse area has two regular dividers and a completely solid stud divider w/mangers in every stall which also provides a lot of extra storage underneath. Also has rear tack compartment w/removeable saddle racks. Interior has the upgraded solid wood cabinets w/LOTS of extra storage, stove top, two sinks, shower, toilet, heat a/c all in excellent condition. Also has a dinette that will fold down into a small bed if needed. It has two electric support jacks/legs that work well. Comes with two newer batteries, newer heavy duty 14 ply all steel tires 12k miles rotated frequently so still like new tread left including the same new spare tire. Recently installed new hot water heater. Featherlite trailers are the ONLY extra wide slant load trailer brand that has a 6" inside fender well where the hind legs of your horse stands against. All other brands inside wheel wells are wider, taller and rougher which we have had those brands injure the hind legs of our larger and taller horses when traveling. If you have large horses you will appreciate the extra room this provides!!!! All dividers can be removed and placed into any of the other spots. This trailer has more storage than even the larger living quarter trailers have....4 separate closets and also storage in the gooseneck area along with cabinets for many other things. It has a walkthrough door that goes from the bathroom into the horse area. Excellent condition inside and out and everything works as it should. Only reason for sale is bought a newer Featherlite with larger living quarters. It has been meticulously maintained and is ready to go! |
