1998  Big Valley

Description:  Traveled Lane Trailers, Inc.

This 1998 Big Valley stock gooseneck came in recently for us to show as a private sale. If we didn't know the model year, we'd think it was a much newer trailer.

As the listing title indicates, this one is 7' tall and is set up for horses, with floor mats and plywood kick panels. It has a gate about midway, dividing the 14' floor length into two areas of approximately 7' each. Body width is 6 feet. At the rear, the traditional livestock gate opens fully and has a half-width slider in case you'd like to back up to a chute for loading or unloading small animals (or for human access, although the latter will often load without a chute). Humans may also enter via the escape door on the curb side. There's a bar-type drop-down gate to keep large items from falling out of the gooseneck.

The tires on this Big Valley were recently replaced, showing late 2022 dates of manufacture. It rides on leaf spring suspension and has brakes on the rear axle. A recent repaint by the owner is partially responsible for the appearance being better than we'd normally expect for a trailer of this model year. With older trailers, we're often asked, "Will the gooseneck have decent clearance with the height of my late-model truck?" We've seen it connected to two 4x4 pickups and it had several inches of clearance at the rear corners of each truck. You can see the clearance for yourself in some of the photos.

Also visible in at least one photo (on the road side of the gooseneck hitch framing) is the 2/2024 Virginia inspection sticker, indicating that the trailer has passed its most recent state inspection.

We invite you to stop by and check out this affordable and versatile Big Valley gooseneck!
