2003  Cotner

Description:  Traveled Lane Trailers, Inc.

This very clean one-owner Cotner 2H straight load gooseneck just came in for us to show as a private sale. It has added length forward of the chest bars for good head room and working space. In addition, that forward space holds a built-in combination storage trunk and bench.

Body height is approximately 7'2" and body width is 6'2". Floor length (that is, excluding the gooseneck) is 12 feet, with approximately 5' of that forward of the chest bars.

This Cotner features an aluminum skin over a steel frame and there's a fiberglass roof. There's a nice complement of large windows for natural light and ventilation and there's an escape door with window on each side for convenient movement in and out of the trailer.

The stall divider, chest bars and walls are padded. The easy-to-use butt straps are padded as well and there are two positions to allow you to adjust stall length. There's a large head divider and if your horses get along, you can remove it and have very generous working space forward.

The gooseneck bulkhead and upper gooseneck floor are carpeted. The carpet gives the trailer a finished look, but it also helps to keep stowed items from rattling against bare metal. And when items are stowed, there's a flip-down gate to keep trunks, etc. from sliding down out of the upper gooseneck. And speaking of trunks, the trailer comes with the two trunks visible in some of the pictures. The trunks probably aren't antique, but they have an antique sort of look to them (in the opinion of the not-an-antiques-expert writer of this listing).

A nice feature of this Cotner is the adjustable spring assist on the ramp. New radial tires were mounted in December 2020. Running gear (bearings and brakes) was serviced in April 2019 and the trailer has received very little use since then.

As with just about every consumer product since COVID hit the news, demand for trailers has gone through the roof and we've found that well-kept trailers sell particularly quickly. If you're in the market for a well-kept, easy-to-handle 2H gooseneck. stop by and check out this very nice Cotner!
