We have never had a mechanical problem with it and the tires are in good condition. It is NOT a pretty truck though it has saved us several thousand dollars in transportation expenses. Located in southern OhioIt is an older model, 1974 Chevrolet C65 with 81,250 actual miles on it, though the completely rebuilt 366 engine has under 2,500 and a 5spd transmission with a 2 spd rear end. The aluminum box was manufactured by ACE in Zanesville, Ohio, it's roughly 8 ft high X 9 ft Wide X 20 ft long with adjustable wood dividers (half walls), interior lights, electric outlets, opens on both sides with one solid door & one split door, double doors on back open up the entire width of the box, ramps come complete with sides for loading which is great protection just in the event of that rare case. Stall dividers are 1-1 1/2 inch solid oak, as is the floor. There are also storage boxes along the bottom of the box. The over length is possibly 28-32 ft. Has dual gas tanks, no, not diesel. It rides, drives and handles very well. The gas mileage averages in the neighborhood of 12-15/mpg. We have a lot of steep hills here in Ohio, not to mention the ones in Kentucky. I can tell you it does have a small spot in the upper corner right/passenger side of the box floor that will need repaired that isn't much larger than 30-40 sq inches - if that, the frame is solid, tires are good, engine completely overhauled and the carb rebuilt. The aluminum outer covering of the box needs a good cleaning, has some rust spots though they are not rusted through, the interior wood walls need repainted, interior roof boards secured & painted. We had planned to install a cooling unit for the box, some minor body work done, primed and painted along with a few other small things that we never got around to having done. It has pretty much sat for the past 2 years...I think we have used it twice putting not more than 200 miles on it. The stall dividers were removed for extra hay storage this year. For more info and/or pics email allens_2@peoplepc.com
