I've got a friend in NC that is thinking of getting a portable hay bale elevator to move hay up into their hayloft.  What would be an average cost for a new 20' portable hay bale elevator with an electric drive motor?  Also, what would be an average cost for a used one with an electric drive motor?  I realize that the condition would dictate the value of a used one?

Thanks for the info.

Try this site. We use one that is just a 16ft section. It does very well. I don't really know what size the electric motor is. But it still saves the old back!!!

Cricket,

Thanks for the info.  I've found a used 20' one with an electric drive motor for $300.  I was just wondering if that would worth it or not?  From what I have heard today, that seems to be a pretty good deal.  I appreciate the link.
