Subject: stain for new stalls

What is safe for staining horse stalls? I have heard that allweather deck sealer is ok. Any thoughts?

I used SPAR varnish on mine and haven't touched them in 15+ years. Last time I went to look for SPAR varnish I couldn't find it around here, all I could find was SPAR urethane. Go to a REAL woodworking store and ask for the SPAR varnish, it makes wood impermeable! There are some good stains to use on pressure treated wood, but make sure to check the label to see if it's compatable with your type of wood. (I don't use pressure treated around my horses, but do around my cattle.)
