I had a Featherlite 8587 3 horse LQ trailer that was a 2003. I was happy with the quality of it and had no issues other than those of regular maintenance- resealing the roof, replacing burnt out bulbs. I bought it used and enjoyed it.

I just bought a 2014 with a slide, and took it for routine maintenance as well as to have hydraulic jacks and an electric awning put on it. The service manager of the dealership I use for service commented that it was a very well made trailer and should last me for quite a long time. This dealership is not a Featherlite dealer, but is well known for their service department.

The Clements sold Featherlie to Universal Trailer in 2006 and now they sold to a new company in late 2020.  Universal & the new company also own Sooner & Exiss Trailers.  Featherlite does their own living quarters.  I do not recall the years but Featherlite had some bad floors for a couple of years - maybe in the early 2000's.  Other than that they are a good mid-range trailer made down the road from me in Cresco Iowa.

We have a 3 horse 2005 Featherlite with customer Sierra interior.  Very nice.  We drag this trailer all over from horse shows to dirt roads boondock camping in the mountains and have no issues with it.  It's tough.  We're selling only because we  need something a little bigger.  If I thought the newer FL's were made as good as this one (before going to Universal, etc) I'd buy another one.
