Ever since someone brought up lug centric rims vs hub centric, I have been wondering if most trailer  rims are lug centric and if the come with adapters to fit the rim to the hub.

i am getting new trailer tires and personally would like hub centric rims or at least the adapter. Is this possible?

More than likely your hubs are not compatible with hub centric wheels, if they were you would have a machined surface for the wheel to set on, if it is cast than it is not set up for hub centric.  There really is not an advantage over lug centric until you get up to 8K Axles that is when thye start to have an advantage.

I am going to take my trailer to the folks that do the lugnut balancing and use the stock rims on the trailer.   I have not gotten an estimate on the rest of the work I’d like done yet.  Or what tires are available.  The reviews on line suggest the Carlisle HD tires are the ones to consider

I'd also like to report on my trailer tire quest. I went to Sam's club where they have the Goodyear endurance for the trailers. I asked about the lug nut balancing and the guy was clueless, but then he said, well on the 20 inch wheels we have to do something called spindle balancing. I do think that is the same as lugnut balancing?

I know the Goodyear is made in USA and I'd go with what I have on the trailer ST 205/7R15 but bump up to load range D for the speeds I might go on a four lane.

Now I have the trailer from the fabricator, I called Sam’s Club near me and the person knew right away what the lug nut balancing was for trailer tires.  I ordered Goodyear Endurance tires and got 80 dollars off on a promotion.    Will get them in a couple days and have them put on.   Thanks all!!
