Has anyone had any experience with Merhow aluminum on aluminum trailers with Living Quarters? We are looking at a 2019 model.

I don't know if it's just me who kind of notice that this community is not that active anymore or maybe because I am a newbie.

I have a 2009 Merhow Alumnastar.  Love, love, love it!  I have never had an issue with anything but I am very vigilent about cleaning and upkeep.  My floor and exterior still look like new.

Merhow- a very storied name, on a fairly new Company. For example, I'm fairly certain the Co now, is not who made the OP's 2009 trailer.

We have a 2017 Merhow LQ trailer and I can't tell you how many issues there has been, too many to count. Merhow says they will stand behind it and fix everything so time will tell. We have been using it so it coudn't be taken care of before this and is at the factory now for the next few weeks. I will post the results here is anyone is interested.

Jafamarie, did Merhow take care of your issues? Can I ask what type of issues you are having?

We have a 2017 Merhow 3H superslide with the hickory interior. We absolutely love it. We have mostly pulled 4 Star and Bloomer LQ . I had stopped riding and bought this trailer to use as a toyhauler. I pulled it a year before I hauled my horse in it. Love, love, love it! I put 10K miles on it since I started back riding early last year. No worries. I ran  to the shows hard last year and the first 3 months of this year. Still love it. Merhow has been in business for 50th years. They just got serious about building high end LQ trailers in this decade. I owned a Merhow 2H BP for a couple of years back in the late 80's. Never any issues with it either.
There are a bunch of youtube videos from the Merhow factory showing alot of the LQ trailer building process.

We will be picking up our trailer from the company next week I will give another report after seeing it but at this point I give Merhow the highest star rating I can find. They have had the trailer for several weeks, communicated well, sent pics....have fixed everything way above and beyond what could be expected. They have even put some extras on it that we wished we had like a tack compartment step, awning, rewired electrical circuits and the list goes on. Many of the problems were quality control issues, electrical, axel/brakes, things not operating as expected in the LQ.  At this point I am excited because we liked the quaility of the structure of the trailer, it was just that so many LQ things were failing. I need to state that some of the issues were made much worse when we attempted to have a local trailer sales place do the warranty work last Dec. so Merhow had to deal with an additional mess not of thier making. Will report final review after getting trailer home.

Our trailer is home  and I can't say enough good things about the service and people at Merhow.  They fixed every single issue and fixed them right, not cobbled up. We had taken the trailer for warranty work late last year to a closer trailer place(another brand) and Merhow was picking up the bill. That place did literally thousands of dollars of damage and fixed nothing (thats another whole story). Merhow steped up, fixed all our issues, repaired the damaged things, paid for work on somethings that were out of warranty (axel/brake issues), kept after the refrigerator people to fix the frig right and put several add ons and upgrades to make up for all the inconveniences we had been through and the distance we had to haul the trailer to get it to them.

They had the trailer about 2 1/2 months and kept in contact by email, pictures and phone. We were never left in limbo as to what was being done. When we picked the trailer up they had closed the lines just before we got there for a shut down for the week of the 4th so we got a tour of the lines by Damien (an owner) and Todd (head of warranty work). The trailers are impressive from the structural and engineering aspect from the ground up...it certainly is a lot more involved then an alluminum box on wheels.  I can say if we were to ever upgrade to a larger trailer it would be a Merhow...
