I am an absolute "green horn" in horse trailers with living quarters so I would appreciate some advice from anyone more experienced than me. I am trying to decide between a 3H elite with living quarters 2014 and a 3H 4 star 2015 with the exact same living quarters by the same conversion company. I am planning on hauling this trailer down to Phoenix for the winter from Canada. The price isn't really a factor as they are fairly close. I am more concerned about the quality. So I want a well built reliable trailer as I will be doing it by myself. Any thoughts?????

Thanks for your help,
Canadian green horn

IMHO they are both good trailers. I would put the 4 Star only slightly above the Elite

Is the 4star the Runabout or the Deluxe model?  The windows and grills are of higher quality in the Deluxe model.  Not sure if Elite offers two "grades" of trailers.  I owned a Runabout bumper pull and a LQ Deluxe model.   Both are nice trailers, but I like the quality of the windows on the deluxe model.   Make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

You are definitely comparing apples to apples on two of the highest quality brands. While I have never owned a 4 Star, I have owned three Elites, and they are AWESOME trailers. BUT, I would not hesitate to buy a 4 Star either.

I vote Elite. Seems to generally be a cleaner built trailer. But as mentioned above, they have a lot of similarities.

Thanks so much for all of your assistance with this!! The 4 star is a deluxe model. I feel so much more confident now in making my decision. Can't wait to "get out of Dodge" now that we just had a big dump of snow!!!!

Send the snow to the South. 90* and ungodly humid here!
