Subject: FRP Trailer Walls

Looking at a Featherlite trailer. It has the FRP walls and there are places where that needs to be taken out and replaced. We would be getting the trailer at a very good price so we are not opposed to putting the additional money into fixing those places (though will be looking for an alternative to the plywood), but my question is can that be done by a good DIYer or does it need a pro? Is there a reasonable way to get to the inside of the wall without damaging the inside or outside skin? The trim is riveted to the skin. Thanks!
