Has anyone made their own high tie?  could you share pictures on how you mounted it.  Question on where / how to mount the home made bracket for the 4' out-bar.  I plan on selling my trailer in a few years I do not want to spend $6 to $700 on two high ties.  but I would like them for a trip I am going on in a couple of weeks.  I have all of the supplies in my garage and a mechanic/machinist who says he doesn't have to drill holes in the frame - he wants to Samwitch on each side of the frame a stainless plates on the inside and on the outside to make the spot for the mouting bracket.  I just don't think this is a good idea I was thinking the mount would have to be directly on the frame of the trailer...??? (1999 Sundowner).  (My current horse could be tied with a piece of yarn)  thanks
