I was just told by my Vet that health papers are needed per state. (ie: if going to WY and SD, you need two seperate health papers and of course billed twice). Last year only one health paper could be used for both locations.
Anybody else hear this? I did a search on the net and nothing came up.

Don't know specifics about SD or WY, but never had a state keep them. Just used to log you in, then given back.
Like with Fl, you will need them to exit as well - health certificate is good for 30 days of travel - coggins for 1 yr.

I've gotten health papers this year and my vet said she only needed the final destination and the papers would cover every state we travel through to get to that destination. Brand inspections are another thing. Both WY and SD are brand inspection states and if the horse is unloaded in one of those states, or any state that requires brand inspection, each horse must be inspected before it leaves that state. As long as the horse stays in the trailer as it travels through one of those states, a brand inspection is not necessary. Those are the rules we've gone by.
