Hi- anyone towing a gooseneck LQ trailer with a Dodge Ram equipped with the RamBox in-bed cargo boxes? Bed is narrower on the inside but not taller unless RamBox lids are open which wouldn't be when trailering, of course. Looking at a used Ram 2500 4X4 6.4L and know they are higher than my previous generation 2500- which I don't care for. It is also a shortbed and no issues with it. Travel around 1-2k mi per year going to various horse camps for trail riding. Any input is appreciated. Thx!

I know you can't get a factory gooseneck hitch prep package wtih the Rambox. I believe it's because the puck system is too wide to accomodate the box. So, as long you can find an aftermarket hitch, i.e. B&W, I think you would be ok. Pulling a gooseneck with a shortbed on the other hand.

Thanks for the response. Also found that the RamBox drops the towing capacity down several hundred pounds. Nixted the idea- just too small a space anyways. Previous truck was a Ram quadcab short bed. Never had any issues towing. Tapered nose on LQ trailer that has a California king-sized bed in the goose. 7' wide helps too. An 8' wide square nosed unit- maybe not so good.
