Me and my horse went to our first endurance race cuz I had herd so many people say how its rilly changed there horses additude. We went to the Beer Barrel Blowout since it wuz only a cupple hours away. It wuzn't sankshunned by whoever sankshuns them so it wuz just a fun ride. I wonted to see how my horse would do on a 50 miler since I been a workin on him with wet blankets. Well the morning of the race the manager says we wuz gonna start the race with the sound of a 22 starter pistol since that's how all foot races begin and this was a foot race for the horses. So we all lined up for the 6 oclock start and the manager sez he don't got no blanks for his pistol. So a guy named Hogleg McGreg sez hes got a gun that can be used instead and he goes to his trailer and comes back a totin what looks like a cannon without wheels. Its one of them old west 45 pistol with about a 12 inch barrel on it. Guess I know where he gets his name now. Ennyway we all line up to start and Hogleg points his 45 up towards the sky and pulls the trigger. VAARRRRRROOOOOOOMMMMM, 8 feet of fire shoots out the end and lights up the country side for 20 miles in all directions. So instead of havin a endurance ride we have a rodeo. Well my horse Fireball is one ot them that just wants to get away from whatever upsets him so we takes off as hard and fast as he can put one foot in front of the others and we do the 50 miles. Only thing is I thinks I need to work on slowin him down a mite and works on his stop a lot more. But just for the record - we came in first and third.

Kinda thought it might be that way at first but the race was done on a 50 mile loop. We came in first on the 50 loop and he don't even slow down just keeps turnin on the afterburners and heads for another loop. Kept heering others tell us you done did your 50 so stop. And I'd say tell that to my horse as I was hangin on fer deer life.
