I've been wearing a cooling vest a lot during the summer and it really helps- esp. on these 100 degree days.  anyway, it stated unraveling in a few places.. sent it back to cool medics for repair and they replaced it for free.    I've had it at least 3 yrs and of course didn't have a receipt anymore.   so nice of them to send a free new one!  it's easy to get overheated during competitions and just trail riding- these vests do work.

I agree. I was riding in 103 degree temps at a clinic and my husband got one for me as a surprise. Nice, huh? I was so happy and cool for the rest of the clinic. It's pretty temperate where I live, but when it gets hot I melt...and I get grumpy. When I was running around to hook up to evacuate horses during a fire I got my vest and once again, it was a God send.

I agree! I have one for our hot weather drill team practices. It really
does make a difference.

They don't work work a darn in humid climates.  I bought one a few years ago at Tevis, thought they sounded so great.... was sorry I spent the $100 bucks.

I think they do work well in humidity.. we're  in southern virginia.. have had several days over 100 degrees and nearly 100 % humidity and my vest really made a difference.   CTR rider sorry yours didn't work but I'll bet you can sell it for nearly what you paid.

I have a CoolMedics vest...love it! I am in the desert part of AZ and they are a must...been using it for 2 years and love it! We are now cooling of...back to the 'dry heat' and will be using it quite often...when we are humid it does not work as well when it is dryer.
