Searched going back one year and can't find any posts on Solar Panels for LQ horse trailers.
Has anyone put these in for dry camping? I have a generator but don't always like to use it. Would be nice to run the fridge and TV and to recharge the phones while dry camping. Having an inverter to use the AC plugs for a fan would be nice too. Obviously couldn't run the Air conditioner on it but the regular plugs with minimal amp draw would be great.

Yes it's possible - to a limit. A couple years ago I installed a 165w panel on our trailer (see pic).
I lived in the trailer for 6 weeks straight - in Florida during July and August in 2015 while building a barn on our property. It ran everything but the AC and the microwave which I used a pair of Honda 2000's when I needed to run them.
When I did the conversion of the LQ a few years earlier I made everything 12v including an AC/DC refrigerator and made provision to plug in additional 24 series deep cycle batteries when needed. I had 2 in parallel.
The panel came from the Sportsman's Guide - it's the best power for price that I could find, and added an upgraded power controller that reports battery charge state, power generated and power used so I could keep track of how it was working.
It worked much better than I expected, and never ran out of power.
The secret is 12v appliances, and lots of sun.
Last year I added the same model panel to our 5th wheeler RV. It has a built in inverter, so it could also run the tv satellite and the 120v lights, but still not the AC or microwave. They are power hogs. It would be nice if someday someone would create a 12 microwave or something similar to quickly heat food.

Hello .
Yes solar panels work grate for dry camping. In spring of 2017 I installed 2 200 what solar panels on my new 2017 Exiss 8028 with 10 ' living QT.I run the panels through a Pro Star 30 controlar then to 3 group 27 deep cell battery,s I also changed all lamp,s to LED. We took a trip to Florida for 5 weeks the only time we used are Generators 2 Honda 2000 ei was for the air condinser all went good on they home had to use the Furnaces with no problem. Than mad a 6 week trip to Minnasoata was nice back for the first 3 weeks then it turned cold had to run the Furnace Quit a bit. That is when it would work right other than that solar panel,s are good never had a dead batters . But all we used was lights water pump and Furnace this was in late September. I would not be with out them.

Thank you

You might check this video out. He shows how you can power everything with an inverter!
