Hello
we are redoing a livingquarters that had a water leak.. the trailer is aluminum. we removed the tile the underlayment the osb board that was totally rotten and below that was a thick styrofoam? board with mold we tore all that out. the aluminum underneath has oxidized with a few small holes. I was wondering first if and or how we should clean up the oxidation, then where to find that poly foam? board.

Thank you
Patty

There are three types of poly foam insulation board

Many home centers sell it... Home Depot... Lowes... etc.

Details here... https://www.ecohome.net/guides/2254/polyisocyanurate-foam-is-a-hot-new-building-product-learn-where-and-where-not-to-use-it/

If your aluminum floors have whitish and black spots, they can be cleaned by one or two coatings of muratic acid. The acid is best agitated as soon after the pour as possible. Use a good roofing type of brush to scrub. Let the acid  rest for about 15 - 20 minutes, and when  if it is done, completely flood the flooring with water. to rinse.
When all the spots are gone, you then have an option of protecting the flooring with a coating of bed liner material. We use a product caled" Duralast". If the flooring is completely nuturalzed and clean, the bed liner material will seal very effectively and last many years .
Poly foam material can be purchased from many large big box stores in various thicknesses. Headers can then be glued to the flooring in the traffic areas, to give the foam rigidity.and add an attachment for the flooring.
Make sure you use a  good vapour mask when you pour the acid. It has a very stromg smell.
