What is your experience with a CM trailer? I am looking at an ad for a 1995 3 horse slant with new tires, brakes and floors. This one is made of steel. Is this a good year? Any problems with CM? I decided against a Sundowner based on comments on model year

I am a newbie to buying a trailer as I boarded my horse for years and didn't need one. I moved to a house over a year ago with a little land so my "boys" are in my back yard now. In SoCal, trailers are almost a necessity in case of fire evacuation.

Very well built trailers...the steel are so much better than Ponderosa/ Calico/WW/Exiss...etc. They also make aluminum stock trailers...Cimmaron spun off CM with the big alumnum LQ trailers $$$$$$$. Nice trailers.

It was a nice trailer when new. And may still well be. But please- realise it is 23 years old. Frankly when it was sold new, probably no one figured it would still be around today. As with any aged equipment, inspect it thoroughly for your needs.

The fact that they think they can sell a 1995 trailer says a lot about the original construction...

Like R.T. said inspect it and take your chances...

If this is primarily to be used an emergency  exit vehicle...all you need to be concerned about is the frame, the floor and the running gear...if that is all up to snuff...you are good to go...LITERALLY...
