I have a 3 horse LQ trailer (10 ft short wall) and I'm wondering if I need to boost up the number on the brake controller in my truck.  I've read that you can test the brakes by driving down a gravel road and manually engaging the brake controller.  But I can't find anywhere that tells me how fast I should be going (2mph?  10? 20?) when I do this, nor what I should expect when I do it.  Should it just slow down the truck/trailer slightly, or come to a stop or if I engage it all the way should it be more of an abrupt stop?   thank you!!
