just got a Hart trailer (non-lq with 18,500 gvWR) that comes with GY G614 RST 235/85 R16 G rating (https://www.goodyearrvtires.com/tire-selector.aspx). I have 1 spare tire, but was thinking about getting a 2nd one (since some friends blew 2 and were stranded 3+ hrs waiting for replacements). This 2nd spare might never be used and if so for only 200miles tops (trailer weight will never be over 14,000lbs).
Just bite the bullet and get aother GY or something like a Provider will do? (https://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Tires_and_Wheels-sf-Tire_with_Wheel-tw-Load_Range_G.aspx).
Cost is not an issue, but i just want to be wise with my money

You should be able to run a short distance on just one tire on one side of the trailer. With torsion axles, you just take the blown tire/rim off and can get by to the nearest tire shop. I have done it several times.....that tire is rated at 3750 pounds so you be just a little over on the 14000 lb max you stated. I figured it --14,000 with 10% on tow vehicle/3 tires comes in at 4200 each tire. But a short distance, I have been fine.
What you will find is that those tires are fairlly hard to find in tire shops. I would see if you could find a used one if you feel you need a 2nd spare. We run 20k a year and never have needed one if you keep decent tires on the trailer.

Simply match your existing tires AND wheels. Two spares are a good thing. A road hazard doesn't just tear up the first tire of a tandem pair. Even if you only change one, having the second is insurance on a long way from home. G rated tires are not common. Plus you can continue your travel at normal speed instead of limping along on an overloaded tire. (which damages, and makes it likely to fail)
Further, your tires are more likely to age out vs wear out. Just plan on replacing a tire every year or so and rotate your spares onto the trailer or old tires to spare service.

For what it is worth- in a conversation once with the folks of USRider, they shared that the number of times they've dispatched a truck to install a spare for a member, and find that the member had 2 flats was actually very high. Seems it is not unusual for a driver to hit something, and maybe as close as trailer wheels are, both hit the object and fail. They recommend 2 spares.
In that same vein, at one time if you called Carlisle for a tire warranty (and yes, I am aware of the issues they had, but this is just for example) replacement, they replaced both on the same side, using the logic that the second tire was overloaded while the first was flat.
Like Spin D, I have also driven on 3 wheels to get to an exit, and then change the tire.

I have to tell you on my horse trailer I carry 2 spares the same brand/model/size as I am running on the trailer. I carry it loose but I have experienced twice now that if i get a blowout from overheating the tire, the second one is dramatically weakened and will go very soon after. I always use the best 2 tires when i rotate them out every 3-4 years. Also if i where you i would switch over to 17.5 inch tires you will be so much happier, the tires are cheaper better and if you do it now you could keep the 2 GY G rated tires as spares.
