This may be a dumb question, but where does the built in generator usually go on a LQ trailer?  We bought a new to us Keifer Built trailer.  It has the "controls" in the LQ for a Onan Generator but no generator was ever installed.  Just where would this generator go if we decide we want have it installed?  The trailer is a 3 horse slant with mangers and rear tack.  Currently we carry a small portable generator in one of the storage compartments in the mangers, but it is not big enough to run everything.

I was just at a Cummins dealer and while looking through service bulletins for Onan Generators it appears they no longer warranty roof top installations. Something about needing to recirculate warm air and issues staying running while traveling down the road. I didnt pay much attention becasue mine is under the manger with a ventilated door. Good Luck

If it has the Onan controls in the LQ, then it's probably prewired for a generator.... Any way of tracing the wiring? Pull the control panel and see if any wire is attached to the backside....? Contact Keifer with the serial number, maybe they have a record of the build....  Any loose wire bundled in left rear compartments on the trailer?
