What brands of manual awning are best? I had a Zipdee awning on an old Airstream type camper and loved it. because when it was rolled up strips of aluminum would be covering the awning fabric, therefor the 30 year old awning fabric looked new. What other brands of awnings have yall installed and loved? I am starting from scratch on a new conversion and am price and quality comparing. Any brands that yall would suggest NOT getting?

I used a Dometic Sunchaser 8500. Easy install and has held up well. Simple operation as well.
I do like the idea of the optional fabric having a shell over it when rolled up - this one doesn't tho.

Also i should have said, that when i had my two step dometic it was super easy to take out and put back up! I have girl friends i ride with and the majority of them have to have help to take down and put up their awnings ! Some do not even use their awnings because they are so much trouble for them. If i was going to get a manual awning again i would go with the Dometic Two Step. Not sure if they still make them.

Here is a cover for your rolled up awning....I do not have one but a friend does and really likes it. Cheaper than the metal covers for awnings.

?We have an AE awning...very easy to open/close.

Thanks for the suggestions on the awnings. How are these brands holding up? The Zipdee awning i had was 25 ft long and i could put it up myself, no issues. A new one is way out of my price range. It would cost almost double for what i paid for my trailer! By the time that we are done with the trailer you will not be able to tell that its a 70's model that i payed 1800.00 for.
