As a single woman I worry about tire failure when rolling down the highway. I've heard some real horror stories. Has anyone used a tire pressure monitoring system? Looked at some online, but not sure if they work, and they aren't totally inexpensive.

Any input is welcome!

I am sure there are people that use them,  sounds like more of a pain to deal with than what I am willing to try.  My best advice,  upgrade your tires to the best tire you can get,  Most tires designated for trailer use only are made in China.  There are some other good options for tires that generally cost 2 to 2.5 times the price of chinese trailer tires.

The best solution is prevention. Check your tire pressure and maintain your trailer regularly. The second solution is to be prepared for "S ***" ...It happens. Have a cell phone and USRider. We have USRider for the last 15 years. Used it 3 times in that time. Like ALL road services, it's variable, depending on when and where you are. But the biggest issue is live animals and heavy trucks. USRider answers the phone with "Are you and your animals in a safe spot?" They are expecting to handle horses, unlike most other road services.
