Hi, i am looking at an aluminum trailer that has been parked for 12 years. Thee living quarters look like new as it was only used a few times. I would like opinions about the rest of it. I know tires would need replaced but what about bearings and so on? What should i be looking at or should I walk away.

The first trailer I ever bought had been parked for 6 years, sat in a barn, had never had a horse in it, and was close to half the price of a new trailer. I didn't even own a truck at the time, but it was too good of a deal to pass up.
I had it towed to a local mechanic and had him go over it. It only took some minor work to get it on the road and was a great trailer for years of use.
I hope it works out for you and you get a great deal! Safe travels!

You may be looking at bearings, brakes and batteries but those are maintenance items and can be expected to be replaced anyway. Just have to check. Make sure and pull the mats and check the floor carefully for corrosion. Make sure the electrical is in good working condition. Trailers aren't so bad but mice can wreak havoc on wiring of vehicles that have been sitting.

Make sure the LQ is functional, those pipes could be shot and you'll only learn when the water leaks out of everywhere. I too would replace tires and such to have a truly trustworthy rig.
