I had a horse get caught in a equine hay ring and tear a hole in her back leg all the way to the bone about the size of a 50 cent piece the vet could not stitch it back together because the skin was missing he said it would grow back together. Has anyone else had any experience with visible bone on the thin skin of the leg if so How long did it take to grow back together? Thanks Ace

Yes I had a mare cut herself from the hock to the fetlock, when she almost jumped a five foot panel after a heavy snow. It took most of the winter to heal and I treated it every day with wonder dust to prevent proud flesh. In the end she was 100% sound and actually a better horse due to the daily attention.

Thanks For that it makes me feel a little better I could not find anyone around here that had this happen to them. The Vet said it should grow back together in a month or so she is retired just a pasture ornament and used to ride small children around the yard
