Hello! Looked through the posts and didn’t see anything. I have an 07 Cimarron I just bought, the latches are fully functional but sun faded pretty bad. Is there a product I can use to bring out the black and/or kind of redo it? Similar to the plastic trim restorer people use on cars but I’m not sure that will work on these as they seem like painted metal?
All advice welcome :) short of replacing them ;)

I would suggest a product called "Back to Black ". I don't think the latch is metal. Someone else on here may be able to comment.  .

I agree,I've used Back to Black on automotive trim which I think is a product of Mothers California Gold but not sure. It does have to be reapplied periodically

Yes it is a "Mothers" product. Yes it does have to be reapplied but it is so easy it's not really a big deal

I believe you'll find they are anodized aluminum, rather than plastic.

Thanks all, I tried the back to black and it “kind of” worked but not on all :( they’re painted aluminum but it’s a weird type of paint I’m not sure how to describe it lol. I am going to try one other product, stay tuned!!
