Location: Michigan | On a fifthwheel, I understand long wall and short wall. How do you measure it? Do you include the part with the bed over the truck bed? Do you include the mid tack? We'd thinking of getting a smaller trailer, 4 horse to 2 horse, but don't want to give up much in the way of living quarters, so we need to find out just how big ours are. Thanks! |

Location: MO | You don't include the gooseneck or the mid-tack when measuring the lq. Most mfgs will just quote the short wall when stating the size of a lq. So, an 8 foot lq is from the edge of the goose neck to the back of the toilt , where the door goes to either the mid-tack or the hose stalls. |

Location: Oregon | Measure the inside the length of your wall (on the floor). Do not include the gooseneck or the mid tack. The mid tack is a separate measurement from the LQ.
