Location: Wishkah, WA | I am looking at buying a 2004 Chevy 3/4 ton Duramax and I currently have a 2001 F-250 and I have the B&W turn over ball hitch in my ford. I really didn't want to have to spend another $400 and buy another gooseneck hitch for the Chevy and I was wondering if anyone has had and experience and knows if my hitch for my Ford will mount up to the Chevy? I looked on turnoverball.com but it just shows to buy a new hitch for the Chevy. |

Location: Northwest Indiana | You should not have to buy a whole new hitch. My assumption is that you would only need to purchase new mounting brackets for the switch from ford to gm. Try contacting the sales dept and explain the situation to them they would be the most informed. |

The manufacturing costs would be a profit drain. I second santelikk's post. I think the hitch plate, the main piece is the same. The side plates and cross bars might have to be different. At LEAST you'd be able to reuse the ball... so there's hope. |

Location: Tennesse | I am a dealer for B&W hitches and I hate to tell you this but the Ford and Chevy hitches are completely different and Will not interchange. The reason being is that Chevy has a tube frame and Ford has a C-channel frame, also the bed cross members are in different locations and the bed to frame clearance differ's. Vehicle frames today are so completely different it would be impossible to make a fit all hitch although it would make my job easier. Good luck with you hitch buying. |

Location: Michigan | If that is the case, and you can't interchange the hitches, you should be able to sell it locally pretty easy. I have a Curt turn over hitch in my Duramax. With installation, it was $400. The turn over ball hitches are super nice Enjoy the Duramax!

Guess you're out of luck... Besides, who'd want your old truck with a big hole in the bed. Might be better to sell it as a GN tow rig. |

Location: Wishkah, WA | Thanks for all the replies. Went ahead and traded in the truck and pulled the hitch out the dealer didn't care if there was a hole in the bed. Going to try and sell it and just going to buy a new one for the Chevy. Love the truck so far and haven't even towed with it yet... |
