Does anyone know if applying a spray on liner to an aluminum floor will curtail or stop urine corrision? Has anyone experienced this?

There are some old threads on here about folks doing that procedure. But- it is very difficult to get anything like that to adhere to the aluminum floor, and what generally seems to happen is it lifts, gets urine under it that no one notices, and then corrodes. In my opinion, it is not a good idea. Best idea- washing with soap & water. If you have corrosion present, a muriatic acid wash will clean it up. Then keep it clean with the soap/water.

We had our 4 Star 4 horse LQ done 15 plus years ago  with Rhinoliner.  No issues.  The big deal is proper preparation.  we had an acid bath on the floor before they applied the Rhinoliner.  We still use rubber mats as beleives it helps the horses/mules going down the road as we do several 10 - 12 hours runs every year. We still pulll the mats every year and wash the floor.  Also allows for an inspection of the floor.
