ok what you all think is it worth buying a trailer LQ ready and general contracting the interior yourself or just buying it already done. think the money savings is worth it???

I think it entirely depends on your situation. Are you handy with a saw and drill? Have you ever done plumbing electrical work? Generally speaking most of us become handy by the experience of maintaining our barns and homes. I would say as long as you don't have to go out and buy all the tools. Sure you could save money. If you are doing it yourself you can plan and design the trailer how you want it something that can cost extra when you have someone else do it. Also there is the satisfaction and pride when you are completely done with the build and someone asks you who did the LQ and you can sit back with a smile and say you did.

Is this something you want to take on right now, heading into the peak "horse" season? I would check out past forums on this subject. I know there are a few on here now that are doing the LQ conversion themselves. I thought about it and so did my husband, and sure we could have done it, but then I looked at all the other projects that are half done and decided not to. I bought a 2 year old LQ trailer that I am loving. I looked a LONG time for what I needed and am very happy with my purchase. If you don't mind buying a used trailer, you might find something in your price range with a LQ that is good to go!
