| I have a 2021 4 Star Runabout gooseneck horse trailer which came with a 7 blade connector. The connector was accidentally pulled off. Nowhere in the owner’s manual or 4-Star online information could I find instructions for proper connection of the 6 trailer wires to the 7 blade connector. Etched in the plastic on the inside of the connector was a number and a color for each blade. It was incorrect to connect a trailer wire of a particular color to the color name etched in the plastic. I finally found an old post on horse trailer world.com regarding 4 Star trailer wire colors and functions and I cross referenced with another diagram to figure out the proper wiring. I would have been stranded had this occurred when I was somewhere without internet access or would have had to drive without lights as I did not have a circuit tester available.
4-STAR: PUT THIS INFORMATION IN THE OWNER’S MANUAL!
White trailer wire goes to #1 on the 7 way plug
Red trailer wire goes to #2
Green trailer wire goes to #6
Black trailer wire goes to #4
Brown trailer wire goes to #3
Yellow trailer wire goes to #5
