Looking for a truck to pull 2004 2 horse aluminum 4 Star bumper trailer. I generally haul one horse, 50 gallons water, hay, feed and misc tack. Could be hauling 500 - 600 miles at times.

If it were me, I'd go with a typical 1/2 ton pick up truck. Doesn't matter what bed, cab, or 4WD or not. Get a nice weight distribution hitch, and travel on. You don't mention slant or straight- if slant, load the horse in the first stall. Straight load, comventional wisdom says the left side (high side of road crown).
