So one of my tail lights on my 2002 Elite trailer is not working.   i thought this may be a good time to replace them with LED lights.
I could take it to shop, but if it was possible.......I would try to replace them myself.
Hmmm
If i could manage this job, would I need load resisters?
Words of wisdom?
Thanks
Joan

I replaced the lights on my truck and old trailer with LEDs and had to add the resistors, which took care of the problems

When I converted the lights on my truck to LED, I needed to add the resisters.  I have done my LQ horse trailer and my 4-horse trailers to LED and did not need resisters.  Both have worked well for past 3 years.

If you do some research, you can find LED lights with the same holds for mounting that you currently have.   I found my lights thru Redneck Trailer.

Just be aware LED cost considerable more than old style lights.

I have a friend who makes a living with someone who serves large enterprises where the main lighting equipment is LED strip. According to him, the great importance and maintainability of LED strips depend on the manufacturer.

Yes, you would definitely need resistors. I've been in a similar situation as yours, and after installing them, it's like a stone falls off my heart.

When I'm dealing with that kind of matter, usually I reach here for help https://lightingandsupplies.com/larson-electronics/. It's a well-known distributor company that engages in small and bigger projects. I tried a couple of times replacing LEDs by myself, but unfortunately, I ruined them. Since then, I'm leaving it for more dexterous specialists to do it.
