Hello everyone
I just joined this forum and had some questions about repairing our 2-horse trailer rear ramp. The left side of the ramp has started to tear away form the hinge and i guess the spring has buckled the ramp. I need to replace the ramp (where I get one is my first question), but what is a bit odd is that the hinge runs the entire width of the ramp with a single pin (~60"), and the pin appears to be welded closed. When I learn how to load pictures, i can post them here, but how would one remove this pin to pull the ramp? If I torch the end, will the aluminum melt away? I never saw a trailer set-up lie this (but for full disclosure I've never worked on a horse trailer before).

Thanks for any ideas.

Frank

I agree that going to a welding/fabricating shop is your best option.
