I have a 2004 Exiss Event LQ and I am installing a gas Onan generator in the hay rack. I need some feedback on the placement of the fuel cell. I was thinking of getting the 15gallon fuel cell that is installed in the corner of the back tack room, my other choice is the mangers. Any suggestions of where is the best spot to put the fuel cell and where I can purchase a fuel cell?

If this is gasoline...you are going to need a SEPERATE lift pump which introduces a major level of complication because most generator fuel pumps only lift fuel about 4 feet, which is why most roof installed generators have their fuel tanks on top with them...

Well, I think I disagree. I think I have only seenm 1 gasoline tank on top of a trailer. Horsing around with a fuel nozzle to fill it seems like it would be a pain. I do often see fuel tanks in the rear tackroom, usually in the 8-12 gallon range so not real large. Have even seen folks use portable marine (boat) cans. I have also seen some in the manger, down low between the fender and the wall. If you look for/at plastic marine tanks there are several built in. Aluminum ones from RDS in Fl - they'll even custom build you one to fit in a tight spot.
Paul is correct about a lift pump, but it isn't a big deal.
