Hi - I'm new to this forum, and appreciate the insight and experience of the community. I am currently shopping for a new trailer. Noticing a trend of colors other than white, specifically "champagne" and "charcoal." My preference is for a lighter trailer (I've only ever had white before); one dealer is telling me that the other colors are becoming more popular... but I'm also wondering if that's because for the model I'm interested in, he only has charcoal in stock (says he sold 3 others of that color recently). I'm slightly concerned about resale value, and also how much more visible any scratches would be for a darker trailer. Looking for opinions and prior experiences. Thanks!

Been watching this trend myself. I remember the red trailers from the 90's that are now pink. The black ones are now gray. The white ones are generally white- thin paint but still white.

I am traditional and like the white. The colors seem to hide the black streaks better, at least that's why folks are telling me they are buying them. But I am curious about how they'll age.
And I'd say scratches will definitely show up more on the on the colors.

That white will be some cooler in the summer months.... All of ours are white except the aluminum stock trailer and it will scald you in the summer. No insulation in the sides or the roof.

Have had most colors available except red. The black one always looked the worst and was hotter in summer no matter what people say, and all showed scratches with black being the worse. Currently have 2 white ones.

I don't think resale has much to do with color.

One thing to remember is if you get it damaged and need to replace part of the skin, the white typically doesn't fade as much as the colors. Our grey one had some minor damage (was only 3 years old and stored inside) and we didn't replace the skin as the new skin was darker. The new skin would of sure been more noticeable than the small dents/scratches that was on the old skin. I think that is why you see more white ones along with most trailers are used more in summer.

IMO, I would not get a polished aluminum one as the polish wears off to quick to justify that additional costs. Also, I have heard about sunburn from the relection on stainless steel and polished aluminum trailers but ??

Good luck!
