I did my maiden voyage in my new to me Sundowner Santa Fe LQ trailer. All went well except I had not hot water in the shower. I did have hot water to the "kitchen" sink. There is no sink in the bathroom area. I'm hoping there is a valve turned off somewhere. Any ideas? I had decent water pressure when I turned on the hot water by itself in the shower, just cold water.

Everything else seemed to work just fine. Was surprised by how much heat I got from the heat strip with the temps below 20 the first night.

Check your water heater bypass valves. There are several variations over the years so I cannot tell you what they should look like, but they generally are fairly clear to show water in and out, with one running in between. This is the one that "bypasses" the heater and if it is open, and it will draw cold water around the heater rather than through it.

Had the same issue before, and the culprit was a bad valve.
