What are things to watch for on the axles when shopping? I know they can bend but how can you even tell? I need a crash course in shopping for beginners lol. It's been so long since I shopped, I forget what to even look at

In order to keep the tire treads in full contact with the road surface when the trailer is fully loaded, a trailer axle will frequently be arched so that the center of the axle beam is noticeably taller than the ends of the spindles. Uneven tire wear and erratic handling would provide a good clue that the trailer axle has been bent or that the trailer has consistently been overloaded or otherwise abused.
