I have discovered I have a Miley Belmont horse trailer. Does any one know how the vin numbers broke down in the 1970's?

Location: Tenn/Ala.		I cannot speak to Miley, but many steel trailers from that era just had a serial number, that did not follow the standard VIN number standards.
