I am now the new to me owner of a 2003 Exiss.  I looked at this trailer pretty thoroughly before buying, but didn't think to pull up the mats all the way since the floor seemed in good shape where most of the horse poo ends up.  Seeing that most of it is in pretty good shape, this kind of took me by surprise as well.  How bad would your rate the corrosion on this aluminum floor?

Pull the mats and do a good acid wash.  Then you can see the floor without all the surface rust, etc.  I am guessing that most of this will come off.  Mats should be pulled regularly and the floor washed.

That is the plan when I get home with the trailer next week.  Then we'll be on to an aluminum welder to see where we end up from there.
