My husband and I are going to travel back and forth from Florida to upstate New York with our horses. We have two cats that will be coming with us. Is it ok to transport them in the living quarters of the trailer as long as it's not hot? What do others do? I don't want to travel with them loose. They would be in crates.

I would not do that personally. People have died when traveling in the LQ of trailers from carbon monoxide poisoning and I would not take that chance with my animals.

I traveled with my cat. I would put him in the bathroom. I also opened the sliding glass window on the LQ door for air flow. Never had an issue.
