Location: Knoxville | I am so ready for camping season, so I thought I'd start a happy thread of camping plans.I'm outside Knoxville, TN, and we have a trip to Big South Fork scheduled April 17, for the Cast Iron Cook Off at Timber Ridge. We also have a trip planned to Shawnee in May, staying at High Knob. That will be the farthest I have traveled with my horses. |

Location: Fort Madison, Iowa | I'm going to High Knob too at the end of May. I'm hearing it's 5 star trail riding and looking forward to going. I've been to Shawnee twice before and it's really pretty riding and I'm hearing the High Knob area is on the the nicest.I've wanted to go the the Big South Fork for riding but it would be a long haul. Is the Cast Iron Cook Off an annual event? The National Dutch Oven Cooking was held in Iowa this year and I wanted to go but it didn't work out and by next year it's moved on to another state. My friends just got a campfire cooking set to put over the fire and I have cast iron pans and will travel so hoping to try some campfire cooking this year with some success : - ) I've been using cast iron in the home just the get some practice and feel of using cast iron and the heating and cooling down of pans are a lot different so it'll be a challenge I'm looking forward to trying. |

Location: Knoxville | I'm also hoping High Knob will be amazing. It will be 7+ hours for us, so that's a pretty decent haul.I think Timber Ridge has done a cast iron cook off for several years, but this is the first one I am attending. Most of the Big South Fork campgrounds have an event per month. |

Location: Pontotoc MS | Some good riding at rock bridge and seven springs both. Rock bridge has some flat to hilly and some rocky terrain. Canyon campsites are in middle of the trails. |

Location: Everton, Arkansas | The wife and I have 2 trips planned to Cedar Lake in Oklahoma; The first one is over Easter weekend and the second one over Memorial Day weekend. In August we have a trip planned to South Dakota to Elk Haven Horse camp. I'm sure we'll get a few more camping/riding trips in as well during June and July. Another note, last year coming back from a ride in New Mexico and Texas we stopped at Prague Lake in Oklahoma, just east of OKC. Very nice city park with full hookups, corrals and nice trails all around the lake. |

Location: Goodlettsville, TN | RBC is beautiful, you see waterfalls and sand canyons pretty quickly after hitting the trails. The campground and stalls are nice. |

Location: royal oak | In a week we are leaving to go from SE Michigan to Hocking Hills, Ohio region to camp at the 3-reasons horse camp. We are a huge group of 26 people (but only 12 horses). It will be my first long trip in my 2H BP. It is an old TuffCat in great shape with new wiring and brakes. Tires are new as well. I wanted to put a saddle rack in there but not sure how to screw it in the steel walls. Will it buckle? Will it be strong enough?
