Please be advised that even if you donate to a horse or plan to specifically pay for one, if there is any reason we feel that the horse will not benefit from being placed in a specific situation or with a specific person, we reserve the right to refund your donations and look for a new place for these horses. We do not have contracts to protect them so, we need to make sound judgements for these horses so they don't end up back in the pipeline we are working so hard to keep them out of. It will never be our intention to be unreasonable, and if you feel we are being that way, please let's work it all out in private messages, as we will not have any negativity on this page, it will be deleted and you will be blocked, it's as simple as that, we are all working towards a common goal and drama will not be tolerated. The following posts will be deleted: Obscene language posts, threats, advertisements, attacks, insults or profanity. Constant abuse will result in becoming banned from the page. Thank you to everyone that supports us and we hope to make lots of Miracles

The above post is from the 'notes' section of Miracles Happen for Horses.  They are not a non profit horse rescue.   The group is mainly run by one women- Patty, who works closely with a local  horse dealer.  The group was formed to help at risk horses and find good homes for them before they get passed from one auction to another and ultimately end up in the slaughter pipeline.

Kudos, to them but sometimes you get an outlaw that cannot or will not be tamed and the person is at serious risk of getting hurt.

Very true. In most cases the potential buyer has no info on the horse. It's called "raw rescue", and can be heartbreaking.
From what I've seen Patty is a pretty good judge of horses, and spends time with them at the dealers barn. Conditions are not ideal, but they do as well as they can with what they've got. If she feels the horse won't be a good fit, she won't sell to that person.

Some do end up at the New Holland auction and most likely will be sold for slaughter. She's just trying to help the horses that seem like good candidates for a 2nd chance.
